Epcot Update - Flowers, Gardens, and Smiles (PART 3)

PART 1 | 2 | 3

Welcome to Part 3 of this new Epcot update! Let's take a look at the newly-refurbished Chinese store:

I personally don't like the new name of this shop, for many reasons, the two major being that the other small shop at the entrance of the pavilion has a very, very similar name, that may confuse people; Also, the previous name of this same shop ("Yong Feng Shangdian") had the name of the supposed proprietor of the shop, which made it look more authentic...

Inside the store:

Nice inside decor:

A kiddie area:

The second entrance:

Repainting still in progress:

The outside area has remained mostly unchanged, with the exception of a much more open spacing between the merchandise items:

The Chinese pavilion has some really great theming:

  1. I wish you had included an image of the new base for the Buddha statue. It's the centerpiece of the whole shop...

  4. it may not have been his religious reasons, lots of people come to this site and can be offended. Or it could be just to each his own!

Do this still sell the masks in the outside part and do they still have the water bowl?

  5. Exactly, Jeremiah. Many people could get offended.
And, by the way, I believe they still sell the masks. Not sure about the water bowls. I'll check next time!

  6. Not for nothing but I think Swords, therotically used to kill people should be a little more taboo than a budda statue
