LEGOLAND Florida Photo-Galley: Pirates' Cove & The Cypress Gardens

Since LEGOLAND Florida has just opened to the public (on October 15, 2011, see our photo-gallery of the Grand Opening Ceremony HERE), it seemed more than appropriate to post pictures of the entire park, by dividing them into different categories, which correspond to the various themed areas of the park. We will not add any personal comments in these photo-galleries, as we will soon post a separate review of the park.

- PIRATES' COVE -

DESCRIPTION:
Pirate’s Cove has been taken over by swashbuckling LEGO “mini-fig” pirates along the shores of Lake Eloise.

SHOW:
- “The Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty” is LEGOLAND Florida’s very own live-action, water-stunt show.

RESTAURANTS:
- Captain Brickbeard's Burgers: Try LEGOLAND's burgers, with their own secret sauce!

Now, moving on to another great area of the park:

- CYPRESS GARDENS -

DESCRIPTION:
LEGOLAND Florida has taken great care to preserve the soul of the park – the historic gardens established on the grounds of its Cypress Gardens predecessor more than 75 years ago. The setting has been restored to its pristine condition, and the collection of native plants, including azaleas and camellias, have been reclaimed and combined with a range of exotic species to create a horticultural masterpiece. And still standing sentinel in the garden is the vast Banyan tree that was planted as a seedling in a five-gallon bucket in 1939.

  1. Wow. That's a first... a photo of a religious statue on this site. Gotta get myself to Legoland. It looks all kinds of fun. Thanks for the report.

  2. Looking good. I'm glad they are keeping the "vintage" gardens & the traditions of the water ski show. Does anyone know if there is any future development plans here? A return of the tour boats? Is the FL pool still there? Are circulation systems to keep waterways from not getting so coated a real costly thing?
