BREAKING NEWS: The Beast's Castle takes shape!

We usually don't publish two updates in one day, but this news is worth it.
Today, we visited the Magic Kingdom, and went as usual to check the work on the new Fantasyland area.
To our surprise, there were some nice, new details, including one that could be defined as "major": the Beast's Castle has received its first real walls, with two small castle towers!

Want to see pictures of this great addition? Here you go! :

On a related news, the work on the rock-work continues:

Isn't this great-looking? More pictures coming soon, in our Magic Kingdom update!

  4. @Anonymous: You're right, it does look like the future castle walls, but it is the Beast's castle indeed.

Thanks for the pictures, I am going to stick with my prediction that this is the seperating wall between old and new fantasy land. and not the best castle. But great to see progress either way. :)

  7. Come on, a miniature bridge that extends into the castle wall? Its clearly the beginnings of the Beast's Castle. The bridge going in. There will be a lot more castle behind the section we are looking at.

  8. Thids photo is compleatly lacking a physical size reference. I have no idea how big this is.

  9. I presume that once The rest of the structure is built a texture of some sort will be sculpted in. I'd imagine the roofs on the towers we see now will receive shingles. I pray that they'll be orange or amber like the beast's castle has. It looks as if they've given them some sort of paint to give it a decent appearance while lengthy construction goes on. If final concept art tells the truth, we will have white "marble" walls and orange roofs...

  11. Thanks for the picture, Anonymous!!
You've just confirmed that it is the Beast's Castle!

The only thing that seems a bit strange to me is the location of the photo... are they going to build the Beast's castle in Alaska, too? :-)
