Magic Kingdom Update - October 2012 (PART 1)

Welcome to a new general Magic Kingdom photo-update, Orlando Theme Park News Readers! Let's take a walk around the park to look for something new to report. We will start from the future location of the extended bus booths, where seemingly nothing is happening. It looks like work started but were then stopped:

Everything stands still...

Walls are still up near the entrance of the park:

...in both sides...

The (awful-looking) Next-Generation structure is still up:

Let's start:

Main Street U.S.A.:

The covered patio in the Rose Garden is now tarp-free:

It looks very nice:

In Adventureland, work continue on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin:

It is receiving a new coat of paint:

It looks like the stroller parking near the Swiss Family Treehouse is being extended:

It is still not clear what will be done in the former area of the Shrunken Ned's Boats:

The Pirates of the Caribbeans attraction:

These two guys continue to play their endless chess game:

One of them definitely needs to make a move:

One of the lights in the queue was out:

Moving on to Frontierland, work on the former Crow's Nest continues:

Behind the walls:

Splash Mountain:

The water jet that used to splash Guests passing by over the nearby bridge is back!:

Of course, this has definitely been turned off in the past two days, due to the cold temperatures:

Also, Splash Mountain went down for a few hours due to technical difficulties later on:

Time to move on:
