Transformers Ride Construction: Behind the Walls

The Orlando Theme Park News Team was visiting Universal Studios Florida yesterday afternoon, and the park was - as always - full of busy construction workers involved in the multiple project taking place in the park. As we checked out the future Transformers Ride area, we had the possibility of taking a look behind the construction walls, something that we were never able to do before due to the constant presence of Team Members guarding the area (By the way, there are still a lot of them roaming around the area).

But before taking a look at those photos, let's first see the Transformers area from our usual point of view:

From the New York-themed area of the park:

That spot used to be attache to the former Donkey meet-and-greet, if we are not mistaken:

You know, I think this crane is very photogenic! What do you think?:

Attempted over-the-walls shots (that didn't work out very well):

The view from the bathrooms next to Mel's Drive-In:

This specific view will soon be obscured by a very large building:

Let's now take a look behind the walls, as promised (NOTE: These photos were taken from the normal Guest areas, by taking a peek between the cracks and openings along the walls. We did NOT enter any restricted areas. We always warn and encourage everyone to be careful to always be respectful of all the parks' rules):

New concrete slab:

It will be a massive building:

Some workers taking a break:

That's a lot of steel:

The view from another angle:

Oh, and by the way, as we said on our official Twitter page, we found it funny to see some of the workers involved in the Transformers project having a New Fantasyland sticker on their hardhats. Of course, we are aware that many of the contractors working on cement and other parts of the project not related to the ride system itself are involved in multiple jobs around the area. Still, we thought it was interesting:

Thank you very much for reading, and stay on the lookout for a large Universal Studios Florida update, which will cover all the other construction projects taking place in the park! See you real soon!
