Refurbished Basin Store Opens at Downtown Disney

As we reported on our last Downtown Disney update, the Basin store has been closed for a while for an important refurbishment. The store has just reopened, and Disney has shared some photos of the interior:

Re-imagined Basin Now Open at Downtown Disney Marketplace

A familiar fragrance has returned to the air at Downtown Disney Marketplace. After undergoing several weeks of refurbishment, Basin has reopened with a sleek, modern look, along with the fresh aromas you would expect from the home for bath and beauty products.

The reimagined store brings interactivity to the shopping experience, including a unique, iconic sink area in the center of the store. You can sample various items such as exclusive Basin hand soaps or salt and sugar scrubs. Additionally, the new beauty bar allows you to try your hand at mixing your own bath salts or custom soy candles for a fragrance all your own.

Basin continues to offer a unique lineup of natural products for bath and body. The fresh, fragrant bath bombs, massage bars, moisturizers, shampoo and conditioner bars, and dozens of exclusive soaps are all chemical-free and formulated to pamper.

“I’m extremely pleased with the work that Basin has done to enhance their store,” said Downtown Disney Vice President Keith Bradford. “This is yet another example of all the exciting and great guest experiences we’ve brought to Downtown Disney recently.”

In honor of the grand reopening of Basin, a sculpture of Mickey Mouse carved entirely out of a single block of soap adorns the center of the store and offers a unique photo opportunity.

  2. Basin would be a lot better if they didn't use horrible things in their products. No way I'm using their bath bombs filled with SUGAR (hello infection city). Nevermind that their "unique" items are all ripped off from other companies. I could also do without all the artificial fragrances...how can people stand walking in that shop? Its like a Macy's perfume counter. Gotta love all those synthetic scents!

  3. Jeez bro, you seem to know a looot about that company for someone who doesn't like it. You obviously feel like you have a lot to prove. What a bummer. Anyways, Basin is AWESOME! I love it. I come back every time I'm at Disney. The bath bombs complete my vacation! So good.
