New Fantasyland: Castles, Lagoons, & Circuses (Part 2)

Welcome to part 2 of this new Fantasyland update (PART 1 can be found here).
Let's continue to examine these new roofs, which really make the whole building look much, much better:

A closer look at these great towers:

The level of theming of these facades is really outstanding:

Whoops... He dropped his hard hat:

We are not sure, but it looks like there is some sort of mechanism inside this tower:

This other tower has a blue roof, which looks just as beautiful as the other ones:

There is also this great looking patio on top of one of the towers:

The biggest tower is still missing its roof. That one is going to be massive!:

Progress is also being made on the rock-work:

More rocks coming soon:

And now let's focus on the last new area of the new Fantasyland: Storybook Circus:

Dumbo's Circus:

Notice that huge scaffolding has been completely removed:

New flags have been installed on top of the tent:

There is still some work to do:

The exterior queue area was being painted:

Safety first!:

The other side of the exterior queue has been painted yellow and red:

The new Dumbo...

... and the old one:

There was also this "mysterious" small tent nearby... Does anybody know what it may be used for?:

A look at the other tents:

The top of one of the tents (the smaller one) has been installed:

The Storybook Circus Train Station:

The lights and the fans have been installed throughout the waiting area:

They are very simplistic. Nothing fancy:

Some decorative elements were also being installed:

And that is all. This was a very long update, wasn't it? Well, we hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you for reading, and have a fantastic rest of your day.

  1. Could the smaller "mysterious" tent be a part of the entrance to storybook circus? I can't really tell where it's located from the picture...

  2. You may be right, Nick. That small tent is located right in front of the main entrance of the new Double Dumbo plaza.

  3. Am I the only one who thinks the chimnies on prince Erics castle look out of place?

  4. Maybe the small tent is supposed to resemble a ticket booth and will sell souvenirs such as trading pins like the cart at the entrance to Toontown used to.

I also have a question: Do you know if the Fantasyland Expansion area going to be called "New Fantasyland," or is it still going to be called, "Fantasyland Forest?" The new (not very new anymore) drawing of the Fantasyland Expansion area is titled, "New Fantasyland," but the forest outside the castle walls theme didn't change along with the attractions and original artwork. Do you happen to know which title will be the offical name of the Fantasyland Expansion area? Thank you very much and thanks for the update!

  6. I agree with Emily. What will it be called? And I thought "New Fantasyland" was already used for the 1983 makeover of Fantasyland at Disneyland. Is it the Fantasyland Forest, New Fantasyland, or all together just Fantasyland?

  7. I really like Fantasy Forest, or even Fantasyland Forest. I hope they end up using either one

  8. Its just gonna be called Fantasyland. It will be that simple. Also word is dumbo ara might keep just the "Fantasyland" name.

So it will be Disney's largest Fantasyland.

  9. Can't wait, i'll be there for December. The little mermaid ride will be great, although i can't wait for the roller coaster, i hope it is not a let down

  10. As much as I want to LOVE the new Dumbo queue tent, I just don't.

The yellow walls are so flat and boring.

The flag poles on top don't look very good where they attach to the top of the tent. It looks off.

And the back of the tent is just plain UGLY! If nothing else, I sure hope they do something with that. Or am I being too picky?
