Magic Kingdom News: Rain Shall Not Stop Us (Part 1)

The dry season should be starting soon here in Central Florida, but it seems like this year we didn't have enough rain during the normal "wet season," so in the past two weeks it has been unusually rainy. Of course, as the title says, this didn't prevent us from going to the parks... but this made me get a bad cold, unfortunately (but that was a week ago, I'm fine now, thank you). Let's take a look at what is going on inside the Magic Kingdom:

Work on the left gallery - located just under the Walt Disney World Railroad - continues:

The whole area is receiving some work:

The famous "welcome" plaque is once again visible:

Let's go inside the park:

The rain didn't want to stop:

Casey's Corner is now BACK OPEN, after a short refurbishment. We wanted to include some pictures of the restaurant during its closure:

Casey had gone to the ballpark that week:

Yep, the game has started again, but no visible change has been noticed inside, so no interior photos, sorry:

The Swiss Family Treehouse is now closed for a quite long refurbishment:

The interactive elements for the new game are now very visible, thanks to the big locks found at each location:

You will just need to use a device to make things happen:

Speakers, which are now hidden by a wooden panel:

The Enchanted Tiki Room has now become an obligatory stop. It is absolutely fantastic:

It was a slow day, as you can see:

The sound of the pre-show is now much louder. That's a good thing, as it was very difficult to hear the dialogues before:

Here they are:

Inside the Tiki Room:

Enjoy the show!:

Moving on to Pirates of the Caribbean:

Strollers:

It was a very slow day, as we said before, therefore one side of the ride was closed:

Closed:

Work continues on the gateway to Frontierland:

They're working on the roof:

And, this is all for this part, but we are not done yet. Please, proceed to PART 2 for more pictures.

  2. Yeah, I haven't seen this much rain in more than a year! Usually here in Florida, rain only lasts about 15-20 minutes, but in these days, it is raining for 2 or 3 hours in a row! Very unusual...

    Thanks for the comment!
