Plants Test on The Little Mermaid's Castle Facade

As you may have seen from yesterday's photo-update about the Fantasyland Expansion, some Disney Imagineers were testing some fake plants and bushes on the beautiful rock facade of the Little Mermaid. Take a look at them, with our latest video-updates:

This first video clearly shows the plants that were being "tested":

This second video, instead, shows the plants being put back into their respective boxes:

One of our readers kindly explained the situation:

Hi, some inside info on the plants: Those are prototype 'test' plants you are/were seeing. They were put up to be reviewed and photographed to make sure they are the right scale (size), color and to make sure they look just right on the rocks. Then, they will be tweeked as necessary and the rest of them will be made (yes, they're artificial) and installed. The pine trees will be installed on the Castle rocks (not the Mermaid rocks) but they took the opportunity to put a few of them up as well to test them also since the rocks on the Castle side are of the same scale. Hope that clears everything up. Great pics too, btw. :) PR.

We thank again PR for the explanation! Have a great day, everybody, and remember to check out our official You Tube channel every now and then, for new videos from the theme parks!
