Fantasyland Update - Skyway, Castles and Circuses

Today it is a special day. Indeed, it will be our very first Fantasyland update published during the weekend!
Let's see together what they've done during these past few days. I believe you're especially curious about the Skyway demolition and the construction of the new Circus in the new Storybook Circus land, since those are two two areas who seem to be receiving the most attention right now. Let's begin:

THE FANTASYLAND SKYWAY:

As you can see, the main Skyway Station is almost completely gone:

The clock tower still stands... but not for long:

This is where the Skyway buckets left the station:

Another look at the clock tower... If its clock were working, I would have missed it a tad more:

An overview of the Skyway (sorry for the quality of the image, but the sun was right in front of us):

MISCELLANEOUS WORK:

Work continues on the tower above "It's a Small World"'s queue building:

They've done a great job with the new roof shingles:

Also, a great news came in our way... "It's a Small World"'s clock, located above the attraction's loading/unloading station, is finally working properly!:

Yes, that was the exact time:

The next-to-last planter has been successfully removed:

Fantasyland looks much less crammed without all these planters, but I can't wait to see the new castle walls. They'll add some greenery, and, with the removal of Dumbo, they'll make the area even less crammed:

The last planter:

A look from above:

The planter was located right next to Dumbo's Entrance:

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST'S AREA:

Work is continuing in the Beauty and the Beast's area:

More steel:

A look at Belle's Cottage:

With the faux rocks all round it, Beast's castle is starting to look much bigger than it actually is!:

A glimpse at Belle's Village, home of Gaston's Tavern, the "Bonjour!" gift shop, and more:

Maurice's popping machine (for more photos of the new sign, please, check out our previous update)

WINNIE THE POOH:

Inside the "Hundred Acre Goods" gift shop...:

...ads for the new Winnie the Pooh movie have started to appear:

JOURNEY OF THE LITTLE MERMAID:

The Little Mermaid's castle:

These rocks are starting to look incredible!:

"Over-the-walls":

Near Storybook Circus, in this same spot, there were two food service carts, which are now gone:

Quite unusual... does it mean that they'll be introduce, new themed food carts (like Maurice's Amazing Popping Machine), or will they move the walls? We'll find out this in the next few weeks:

STORYBOOK CIRCUS:

They're really going fast with the work:

Some new signs have showed up on the walls between Storybook Circus and the Speedway:

Work also continues on the station for the "Great Goofini" coaster:

Mickey's Toontown Fair's presence is still noticed - thanks to a sign:

That is all for now!

As usual, we'd like to leave you by reminding you that we continue to do our best in keeping you up-to-date with all the news and rumors from the parks, and continually post photo-updates, just like this one, so if you would like to show us your appreciation the hard work we do, please consider making a small donation, by clicking HERE. 1. Wow... I just realize that Winnie the Pooh was released in Europe before than Usa!!! That's very strange!!

Can someone explain what will replace the Skyway Station, please?

  2. Bigfoot...Skyway station will be replaced with bathrooms so that they can utilise the bathrooms by Peter Pan for something else. Probably an extension of the queue area.

  3. So how are they timing it all? I thought the circusland area was opening later, though it seems its gonna be ready quickly, i imagine dumbo cant close before a new ones ready or children will freakout, which is never good, but without taking out the old dumbo the walls and progression there cant start?

  4. I can see them opening half of the double Dumbo ride then they will move the other Dumbo ready for the main peak season.
