The Ultimate Indoor Wave: Fantasy Surf NOW OPEN!

Today, OCTOBER 22, 2010, a great new attraction has been officially opened to the public! It's the...

FANTASY SURF!

This incredible new experience will make you feel like you're really surfing in the ocean.... with a difference: the waves here are always perfect for surfing! The water flows continuously, providing an enjoyable experience for the entire family!
Yesterday we had the great pleasure of checking out the new "Fantasy Surf" location that has been built right inside the "Fantasy World resort", really near the "Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway" (also know as the 192), so, here you are some pictures of it! Some great, HD videos of this experience will be uploaded soon!!:

The building is very difficult to miss, thanks to its orange tonalities that really stand out as you pass down the road:

The Glass Wall is really gorgeous to see:

Once you go inside, the first thing you see is a reception with some tables (more will be added soon!), where parents, friends and family can relax and watch you while you have fun on th Flow Rider! I've been told that Wi-Fi is in the process of being installed, so that you can even relax while you do your work on the computer!:

The Flow Rider itself is very big. It can handle two (2) riders at a time, and has an hourly capacity of about 25-30 persons. Fantasy Surf’s FlowRider Double system is 32 feet wide, 49 feet long. You can use the Flow Rider for 30 minutes in total, and they can be divided into multiple session throughout the day:

You have a great view of the Flow Rider even from the reception!:

There are two entrances: the one on the left is used by the females, and the one on the right is for "Dudes" :-)

Now, some pictures of the ride itself:

This  surf-position is for "beginners" (of course, the surfer in the picture is far from being a beginner, they were all amazing surfers, but they were very kind, and showed us all the different "categories" of surfing):

Can you spin in the water?:

In the upcoming videos, you will really see how it works, and how fun and safe it is!
Yes, it's absolutely safe for everyone! Indeed, its padded walls, floor and beach were designed for wipeouts. Fantasy Surf offers a controlled environment that is safe yet provides the excitement of wave riding.
Also, the water is no deeper than three inches!!!!:

This surf-position is for "Advanced" surfers:

And the Fantasy Surf is also sponsoring two Surfers that are WORLD CHAMPIONS!

They are Sean Silveira and Amanda McCormick. they will be going to Singapore on October 28 to participate on the "World Flowing Riding Championship"!

They're masters in this!:

Here you can safely see the surfers without getting wet (unless the surfer wants to surprise you!!!):

You can also see the surfers from multiple screens located throughout the facility:

But, there's more! Inside the same building there are actually also a quick-service restaurant, Called The Lull.
There you can enjoy light American grill dining. the Lull will be serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.:

And, to complete the offer, there's also a gift shop, that also sells Billa Bong stuff:

The Offshore surf shop:

More project that will be coming soon in the area of Fantasy Surf (but that will be separate from the attraction itself):

We would also like to thank a lot the managers of the Fantasy Surf attraction (especially Miss Nancy and Mr.Chuck and all the surfers) for their availableness, kindness and patience with us.
They were really exemplary, and we don't know how to thank them for all the time they devoted to us.
Once again, you should definitely check out this during your next vacation. You'll love it!

My best contact with the wave is the Big Kahuna in Typhon lagoon, but it's all another story!!! I think this could be very fun!!!

  4. Good report. Pretty detailed.

Don't no if is my cup of tea, but interesting. It surely looks they treated you well, since it looks like you had close to all-access around.

How did you do? In reality how hard or easy is to someone who has never body-boarded or surfed before? Be honest please... Thanks!
