Disney's Hollywood Studios update (08/2010)

Welcome to a new DHS update!
Some of the news:

- Toy Story Mania is now closed, and will reopen soon with new gates at the exit of the ride;
-"Walt Disney: One Man's Dream" is closed too, to add new "things" and to put a new carpet;
-Sounds dangerous is now open until at least June 2011 (when Star Tours V.2.0 will open);
-The Power Rangers are gone for good (good news);
-Star Tours is still open (but not for long) and we'll have a big surprise on the day it closes;
-In the "Art of Disney Animation" building there are now many artworks of the new film "Tangled" (pictures of these are coming soon on a separate update);

Now, the pictures!!:

A not-so-crowded day, really great:

I know that the park needs a central icon, but this need to go!:

Streets cleared, let 'em come!:

Nooo! It's the High School Musical 3! (I took these few pictures because I received a special request):

"Walt Disney: One Man's Dream" is CLOSED for refurbishment (see notes at the beginning):

Lame:

I've never seen Pixar place so empty!:

Ahh, that's why! Toy Story Mania is closed for refurbishment:

Nice signs:

Small games and entertainment was set up to keep children busy....
Didn't work out very much:

Yes, yes, yes, we are working on a new exciting addition blah, blah... it's been years like this:

I remember this cartoon!!!! It was more than 8 years ago!!!

The American Idol Experience:

Sounds Dangerous is very stupid and pointless:

In the Sounds Dangerous queue:

The theater:

Soundworks:

The proof that there were very few people inside the park:

*Crickets in the background*:

Without Fantasmic!, Toy Story Mania, Star Tours not featured on the map, WD: One Man's Dream, who would come to the park? Half of the best attractions are closed!:

I've never seen this before:

Thanks for viewing, and have a great one!

  4. Huh. I wasn't aware Rock'n'Rollercoaster was sponsored by Hanes. That's amusing.

  5. Sorry for the question, but what does HANES? I mean, what do they "produce"? (I still don't know all U.S.' brands :-)

  7. QUOTE: "Hanes produces underwear."

    Thanks for the information. i was curious about that. Then, I agree, it's strange that an underwear company sponsors a ride! :-)
