Pirate's Dinner Adventure: Official OTPN Review

Yesterday, the OTPN staff visited one of Orlando's many Dinner-shows. I have to say that I love dinner-show. And I liked this too. There are, however some positive and negative aspects about any of those.
About Pirates Dinner Adventure:

POSITIVE ASPECTS:

- Location, location, location. This dinner-show is located directly on International Drive, one of the most visited roads of Orlando, which is very simple to reach.

- Interactivity. They say that Pirates Dinner Adventure is the most interactive dinner-show in the world. And I agree. It is. More than 150 people in total joined the crew of the show. But don't worry. They won't call you during the show. They ask you to volunteer during the pre-show.

-Food. It's neither too much nor too little, and it's good enough. You have some (free) small appetizer before the real dinner. And you can also upgrade your food (for a fee).

-Never-ending action. The actors really put A LOT of effort in the show, and NEVER STOP!

-Perfect for families: Children and adults alike can enjoy this family-friendly show.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS:

-Parking. You have to pay for it. It's only $3.00, but... really?? I've never paid for parking on a dinner-show. And it's not even patrolled...

-Price. It is high. The normal price of it is $59.99 for adults, while with a coupon or by internet it's $49.99.
But it's still a lot, for a two-hour feast.

-Show time. It's usually only once per night, and always at 7.00 P.M., allowing little to no flexibility for visitors who may want to visit the parks at least until 8.00-9.00 P.M.

-Slow Start: There's a moment where the show seems a bit boring: the beginning. Yes, there's the welcome, but they make you scream for your pirate for 20 minutes.... A bit repetitive.

But, here you are some pictures!:

  2. Thanks!! Yes, If you consider that it's only a 2-hour dinner-show, it is expansive, especially in this period where everybody tries to save some money where he can...

  3. In Buena Park California, it is a bit cheaper. Currently, they are running a locals special for $30 each. There are many ways to get a special price over here.

Prices seem higher in Orlando. I wonder why. Perhaps the whole city is a tourist trap. In contract, the economy is much more diversified in Southern Cal. Or perhaps tourism is dominated by Disney and everyone else gets the scraps so they must be more cost competitive.
